Not every application justifies the cost of a full stainless steel silo, but many require more corrosion resistance than coated carbon steel can provide. Meridian Hybrid Storage Silos offer a practical alternative by combining stainless steel product contact surfaces with a carbon steel structure, delivering long-term durability where it matters most while reducing overall project cost.

Hybrid Storage Silos use stainless steel for all product contact components, including the roof, sidewalls, hopper, and discharge system, while the legs and structural framework remain carbon steel. This provides the corrosion resistance of stainless steel where material exposure is greatest without the expense of constructing the entire silo from stainless steel. Hybrid configurations are increasingly used for fertilizer, spent grain, and other applications where moisture or corrosive products can shorten the life of coated steel, providing a durable storage solution with a lower capital investment than a fully stainless steel silo.
