FAQ

Both provide hopper-bottom storage, but SmoothWall bins eliminate the corrugations that can trap grain and make cleanout more difficult. For operations that regularly switch between crops, varieties, or storage uses, many producers appreciate the easier cleanout and smooth product flow offered by a SmoothWall design.

Many farms use flat-bottom bins for large-volume storage while using GrainMax bins for commodities that require more frequent movement, cleaner changeovers, or easier access throughout the year. The combination provides both storage capacity and operational flexibility.

GrainMax bins are commonly used for wheat, canola, corn, barley, oats, peas, and other free-flowing agricultural commodities. Many farms also use them when different crops need to be stored and managed separately.
